Sólheimajökull
Sólheimajökull is an outlet glacier of the mighty icecap of Mýrdalsjökull on the South Coast of Iceland. It is one of the most easily accessible glaciers to reach from Reykjavík. This is the place where you can go ice climbing, hiking and ice caving. It is one of few places in Iceland where you can easily come near and take a walk on a glacier. It is not recommended though that you take a walk on the glacier without professional guidance.
